About Connemara Marble
Connemara Marble (connemaramarble.com) specialises in Irish-made jewellery, gifts, and home décor products centred on Connemara marble — a serpentine-rich metamorphic stone over 900 million years old, quarried in the Recess area of County Galway and recognised as Ireland's national gemstone, designated a World Heritage Stone by the IUGS in 2022. The distinctive green colouration results from its serpentine mineral content. Products include pendants, rings, earrings, bracelets, and men's jewellery in themed collections (Claddagh, Shamrock, Trinity Knot, Tree of Life, Celtic Cross, Contemporary), alongside decorative marble items such as coasters and whiskey stones. Historically the stone was quarried from the 1820s onwards and used for chimneypieces, church fittings, and architectural cladding in buildings including St Canice's Cathedral and Trinity College Dublin. International shipping is available.
